"I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly."
John 10:10

Growing Your Soul
A nine month small group experience of communion with God and spiritual transformation

“Remain in me, and I will remain in you.
No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine”
John 15:4

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will."
Romans 12:2

What is “Growing Your Soul” about?
Growing Your Soul is designed to deepen your communion with God, with a small group of fellow pilgrims and with one particular spiritual companion of your choice.  It is a nine month journey seeking further transformation into the image of Christ.

Who is this class for?
The class was designed by Adele Calhoun and Bob Geelhoed for people who are hungry for more of God and more of God's purposes in their lives. These pilgrims need above all else an open and honest heart towards God and one another. They must be willing to grow in self awareness and self disclosing communion with one another. They must have an open mind and be willing to explore a variety of Christian traditions and engage in a variety of spiritual disciplines which may be outside their past experiences.  Most of the GYS small groups begin in September after an application and interview process.

What are the time requirements?
GYS small groups typically will include weekly class meetings from September 2007 through mid May 2008, three mandatory group retreats, and also a weekly meeting with a spiritual companion of your choice. During the nine months please anticipate spending a minimum of 30 minutes a day in devotional reading, prayer and other spiritual disciplines, personal reflection and journaling.
