Vic and Leslie and their four children—Sam, Micah Lynne, Luke and Hannah—will start their service in the Dominican Republic late August of 2002. Vic comes out of the business world bringing his expertise under the Lord’s calling to become the Director of Operations at Kids Alive Dominican Republic. Kids Alive is a faith-based, non-denominational child sponsorship organization that operates in eleven countries. In the DR, they minister to children-at-risk through a residential program, a day school, and a budding vocational training program. These kids are either orphaned or abandoned or unable to be cared for by their families. Vic will be supervising and developing all these endeavors. Leslie will first be watching over their own kids. But with her skills as a pediatrician she also plans to develop a nutritional and immunization program for the families associated with their ministry.
