"He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them and rose again." II Cor 5:15

One of my class mates in Seminary in the early '70's was from one of the north Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh in India. The state government had passed an ordinance against conversions even during that time. As a result there was great persecurtion. Many Christians were killed. The church went underground. The small Christian population fled their homes and left the state. Almost every church building in the state was destroyed. My friend could not return home from Seminary because his life was threatened.

Today...30 years later...it is estimated that as much as 20 percent of the state's population are strong believing practicing Christians. The present govenrment in the state has such a strong Christian influence that they were able to ban the RSS (the militant hindu outfit) from operating within the state. Praise the Lord.

The power of the Resurrection is incomprehensible to those who have not had an "encounter" with the Risen Lord. That power at work in the hearts and lives of His children can transform this world. IT IS HAPPENING!

May you experience the Power of His presence at this time and always....Sam

Sam is the President of the India Gospel League, an organization with a ministry extending into nearly two-thirds of India. His desire is to see a church planted in every village of the country. Sam and Prathiba’s work includes church planting, evangelism, a barefoot pastor program, literacy training, Bible student training, vocational training, orphanages and medical facilities. IGL is incorporated, not only in India, but also in the US, Canada, and Australia. In 1996 the IGL formed the National Association of Interdependent Churches, uniting over 1,500 churches and 1,000 pastors in India. The Sharon Cancer Center continues to flourish in its impact on the community through its state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment facility, allowing the IGL to continue to minister medically while increasing its outreach.
