Dr. Mireille Rakotomalala is an ophthalmologist in private practice who also heads the Malagasy Lutheran Church Eye Work Program. Her team provides eye care throughout rural parts of the country and is the only medical team fighting blindness in Madagascar. Dr. Rakotomalala’s husband, Hubert, is an eye surgeon and administrator of Andranoinadio Hospital. They have three grown children: Hanitra, Hantra, and Nirina.
