Robert is the founding and senior pastor of Iglesia Comunitaria Cristiana, an independent evangelical church in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic. Robert and Damaris have three children: Joshua, Tomas, and Robert. The church uses seeker services and small group Bible studies as well as a gymnasium, a music academy, and seamstress school to minister to the local people. The average age of attendees to the church is between 18 and 30. Many are former drug addicts. The people are primarily lower middle class with an average monthly income of $400. Many of the children belong to single-family homes or are raised by grandparents. Their community is culturally Catholic, but most of the young adults are secular in their mindset with New Age thinking as the dominant religious force. Robert is also the general coordinator of the Red Del Camino Network for Integral Mission in Latin America, which has networks in Costa Rica, Argentina, Chile, and the Dominican Republic.
