Cesar and Nancy minister to men and women in Quito, Ecuador, with HCJB World Radio; they have two children: Daniel and Cynthia. Cesar is an engineer and a pastor who works to provide clean drinking water to the people of Ecuador as well as minister to the people of Amagasi Church. Both Cesar and Nancy train pastors and Christian education teachers for the growing church in Latin America. They manage a food and educational ministry to 100 abandoned children through a local daughter church. Some of the lay pastors the Cortezes work with are professional people while others are poor and may have only completed a second grade education. In his engineering work, Cesar collaborates with local communities and the government, for example in the construction of Macuma, a hydroelectric plant near the jungle of Ecuador.
