    FRIENDSHIP BIBLE CLASS
    Sundays • 10:00 a.m. • Room 264 (beginning 10/2/11)

The Friendship Bible Class, a program for teens and adults with disabilities, is now in its 19th year at CCOB.  Using a special curriculum from Friendship Ministries, our focus this fall will be Psalms: God Cares How I Feel.  During the second half of the year we will be studying three mini-units from the Friendship Life Studies:  Caring for God's World, When People Die, and Learning the Lord's Prayer.  The class begins each week with a group session, where all students and mentors (teachers) meet together to sing and listen to a presentation of a Bible story and other lesson-related activities presented by the group leader.  Following this group session, students will pair up with their mentors for a breakout session to talk about the Bible story, complete activities in the take-home paper, and build relationships. A social time of fellowship and refreshments concludes the class each week.

In addition to each Sunday’s class, students are encouraged to participate in the life of the church by volunteering for service projects, serving as greeters, and attending worship services. Social activities for the group are also planned throughout the year.
