The Community Missions Outreach Team aims at catalyzing our members for local outreach in the world right here in the Chicagoland area. There are needs among the poor and the disenfranchised that we can actually do something about. Through God's grace and help, we can become the avenue for His love touching some of the needs of our communities.

We hope to develop ongoing partnerships with several local organizations through which our members can serve fruitfully. These volunteer opportunities will range from one-time to longer-term commitments; from nearby low-risk events like Project Serve, to out-of-your-comfort-zone experiences in the City; and from events for individuals, to ones for the whole family.

We will provide a Christ Church liaison to each organization and ensure that our participants have adequate preparation and debriefing, whether provided by us or by the local agency. The result, we trust, will be effective service and ministry to others and personal growth in our own spiritual journeys.
