    Plan to attend this year’s Mission Fest. This event is important to the life of Christ Church each year, and it includes several events you won’t want to miss. The theme this year is The Church Unchained: Why We Can’t Forget the Forgotten.  Click here for more information.

    On Sunday, May 2, Larry Martin speaks at all morning services in the Sanctuary. Larry serves International Justice Mission, a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.

    Mission Fest Home Dinners

    Thursday, April 29 and Saturday, May 1

    Attend a mission dinner with one of our missionaries or local partners at the home of one of our church members on either Thursday, April 29 or Saturday, May 1. To sign up for one of the home dinners contact Rebecca Wells at 630.323.3663 / rebeccawells1@comcast.net. Dinners are filling up quickly so contact Rebecca as soon as possible!

     

    Mission Fest Congregational Dinner

    Friday, April 30 • Dinner 6:30 p.m. • Fellowship Halls

    Special guest speaker is Burl Cain. Since 1995, Burl has been the warden of the Louisiana State Penitentiary (LSP) at Angola, which is the nation’s largest adult male maximum-security prison.  Tickets can be purchased on Sunday mornings in Fellowship Hall 1 between morning services: $10 for adults; $5 for children 12 and under.     Would you be willing to house a Missionary?

    We are looking for people to provide housing for each of our visiting missionaries from April 29–May 2. If you are interested in housing a missionary in your home please contact Nan Barnhart as soon as possible at 630.325.0075 / .

    O’Brien School for the Maasai: Kellie's Story
    "In 2006 my daughter, Heather, asked me to join her on a “mission trip.” She wanted to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro and do some volunteer work."  Kellie O’Brien lives in Hinsdale and is the founder of the O’Brien School for the Maasai in Tanzania. The school presently has 270 students and is planning to build a dormitory adjacent to the school facility later this year.
