Sherri is responsible for the overall development and integration of a comprehensive strategy and structure for our Human Resources Ministry, to support the church staff and leadership in the areas of compensation, performance and core management, recruitment, communication, training and development. Sherri serves as a member of the Executive Team.
Profile:
Growing up in Hinsdale, Illinois, Sherri has been a member of Christ Church of Oak Brook for over 30 years. She became a Christian and disciple through her involvement in the middle and high school ministries at the church. Sherri was awarded her CPA designation in 1988 and began her professional career as a tax consultant for Price Waterhouse. She later became Human Resources Coordinator for a tax technology division of Price Waterhouse where she focused her efforts on recruitment, program development and organizational management. She used this experience to further develop programming for the Career Development Institute, a nonprofit Christian organization helping individuals integrate their spiritual and personal resources into today's marketplace.
Besides her part-time work responsibilities, Sherri focuses her attention on her family ministry which includes a very supportive husband and three very active children ages 19, 17 and 12. Her leisure activities, when she can find the time, include running and connecting with girl friends.
