    Pastor of Contemporary Worship and Care

     Nate provides pastoral and professional leadership for the contemporary genre of our worship life at Christ Church which covers a broad range of worship opportunities.  He oversees the Baptismal and Communion ministries, and partners with our Classic, Contemplative and Technical worship leadership. In addition, Nate serves in our Pastoral Care area making hospital visits, performing weddings and funerals, and providing pastoral counseling.  He also serves as our Preschool Chaplain and our Men’s Softball team captain. 

     

    Profile:

    A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Nate grew up in a Christian home, and was raised in the Presbyterian tradition. As a child, he was always involved with church music either in participation or in leadership.  Nate began studying piano at age 4, and added saxophone in 4th grade.  As time went by, he added other instruments as well as singing to his musical list.  His professional ministry has spanned more than 20 years directing choirs, handbell choirs, children’s choirs, orchestras and praise bands.  He loves his roles as pastor, worship leader, writer, arranger, recording artist and public speaker. Nate resides in Elmhurst, along with his wife Jennifer, sons Adam and Wade, and daughters Rose and Sarah.  Nate’s oldest Son, Nathan, is married and has two children.
