    Visitation Pastor

    Bill assists in providing God’s loving care to our church family and to our extended families who are incapacitated and can benefit by a pastoral presence. He is also involved in a regular worship leadership role and in the conduct of funerals and weddings for the church.


    Profile:

    Bill was born in North Carolina but grew up in Springfield, Ohio. He served in the U.S Navy during WW II on a battleship in the Pacific Arena before entering college. He has been a resident of Illinois since 1950 when he entered seminary. Bill has had a dual career. He has held pastorates down-state Illinois and in the inner city of Chicago. He was also President and later Chairman of the Board of Compton Presentation Systems. He retired from business in 1992 in order to re-enter the pastoral ministry at Christ Church of Oak Brook.

    His leisure time is spent in researching his roots and those of his wife, Dale. Genealogy has been his interest for the past 12 years. Other hobbies include photography and travel.
