    Visitation Pastor

    Ken assists in providing God's loving and personal touch to those who are shut-in, hospitalized, residents of convalescent facilities, or in some other situation which benefits from pastoral care. He is also involved in a regular worship leadership role and in the conduct of funerals and weddings for the church.


    Profile:

    Growing up on a farm near Alleman, Iowa, Ken attended the University of Dubque (Iowa) before attending McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. His field work in Seminary was with an inner city church on Chicago's West side and in a counseling program with the YMCA Hotel. The years from 1953-57 were in Montana and Ken continues to maintain a close relationship with both Dakota Presbytery and Native American friends. In 1960 he was called to serve as Organizing Pastor for the new Knox Presbyterian Church in Naperville, IL, where he served as Pastor until retiring in 1993. Leisure activities include bird watching, hiking, sports, photography and reading. He is also a very accomplished whistler, having mastered the calls of numerous birds in our area.
