John provides pastoral and profession leadership to the church’s Servant Ministries. He guides and supports the work of a large group of lay leaders and career missionaries in Local and Global Mission, and oversees the churches efforts to provide opportunities for service inside the church building, in the immediate community, the city of Chicago, and the world. John is a native Californian but you would never know it. He has a degree in Economics from Whitworth University and an M.Div. from Princeton Seminary. He did postgraduate training in Pastoral Counseling from 1987-1991 at Blanton Peale Graduate Institute in New York City. He has served four churches and worked in several pastoral counseling centers during his career. He is an avid sports fan who enjoys discussion the latest statistics with anyone who will listen.
