    Senior PastorSince March 1997, Dan has coordinated the vision and work of our Board of Trustees, Board of Elders, and church staff. He preaches at most of our weekend worship services, teaches regularly in other arenas, and serves as the voice of Love Changes Life, the television and radio outreach of Christ Church.

    Profile:

    Dan grew up in Chappaqua, New York, and became a follower of Jesus Christ through the ministry of Young Life at age 18. The son of a State Senator, Dan majored in political science at Yale, rowed on a Henley crew team, served two terms as head of the student government, and received Yale's John C. Schroeder Award for Leadership.

    Following college, Dan spent two years serving as a volunteer in Belfast, Northern Ireland, during which time God redirected his path toward theological studies and pastoral leadership. He was awarded Princeton Seminary's Grier-Davies Prize for Excellence in Preaching in 1985, Columbia Seminary's Thompson Scholarship in Evangelism in 1989, and a doctorate from Fuller Seminary in 2008.

    Dan's work experience includes service on an off-shore oil-rig, in a maximum security prison, on a farm, in the world corporate headquarters of IBM, and with churches in Northern Ireland, New York, New Jersey, California, and Illinois. He has traveled extensively in Asia, India, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and South America.

    Dr. Meyer is author of Witness Essentials (IVP, 2012), co-author of Leadership Essentials (IVP, 2007), and host of Life Focus, a multiple Emmy award-winning television newsmagazine airing nationwide on PBS and numerous religious broadcasting networks. Dan's messages are featured frequently in Christianity Today's Preaching Today resource and garnered the #1 and #2 spots in it's Top Ten Sermons of 2011.

    Married since New Year's Eve 1988, Dan and his wife Amy have three sons -- Rush, Cole, and Reed.
