Vespers Service of Prayer & Communion
6:00 p.m.
Sanctuary
From ordered and spacious to casual and experimental, contemplative worship at Christ Church is as variable and personal as the individuals who come.
If you are drawn to a small, reflective, candlelit service with classic and liturgical elements, our Sunday evening contemplative Vespers Service may be just right for you. This service emphasizes the mystery of God and the Holy Spirit's role in our encounter with Him. It is led by a Liturgist, solo cantor, and organist. Communion is offered each and every Sunday evening.
Healing Prayer and Communion
The Healing Prayer & Communion Service at 11:30 a.m. on the 3rd Sunday of each month in the Fireside Room is for those who
- Desire to receive laying-on-of-hands and prayer
- for healing of physical, emotional, spiritual or relationship problems;
- for freedom from addictions and besetting sins;
- for discernment about major choices and transitions;
- for God’s wisdom and power for ministry
- Seek the Presence of God in music and silence and in the Lord’s Supper
- Value listening for God in lectio divina, an ancient form of Christian contemplation on Scripture [also called Devotional Reading]
