Becoming a Member

Perhaps you have attended for some time and now you are asking, "How do I become a member of Christ Church of Oak Brook?"

We are very glad that you are inquiring into the possibility of joining us in the life and outreach of the Christ Church of Oak Brook. We have developed a process for you that allows you to become better acquainted with us and to gain a more comprehensive picture of the life we share here.

• Attend here for a period of time; we recommend at least four months
• Attend our Compass Class Start Here
  
• Give a clear confession of your own personal faith in Jesus Christ
• Agree to seek to live, by God’s grace, in accordance with the teaching of the Scriptures, and by the faith and vision of Christ Church
• Be welcomed by the Congregation at a morning worship service

We ask even those who are simply transferring their membership from another Christian congregation to take part in this membership process, as a means of orienting you to Christ Church and providing other new members with the chance to be enriched by your friendship.
