     MOPS STUFF

Christ Church of Oak Brook MOPS, Mothers Of Preschoolers,

would like to invite you to join us in this adventure of motherhood.  Our meetings will start again on September 8, 2010.  They are held from 9:15-11:15am on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.

We explore how to live life as a Christian mother. We do this by making connections with other mothers going thru the same stage in life, by listening to the wisdom of our speakers, and by learning more about God himself.  We know the blessings our children and family are and try to learn better ways to create the Christian Family God wants us to have.  We know that mothering can be challenging at times.  MOPS is a safe and loving place where we can ask questions and share concerns about our children, husbands, and to be honest, about ourselves.

We begin our meetings with delicious food and time to chat with new and old friends. We then enjoy listening to a speaker and finish our meeting with discussions around our tables about the speaker's topic. During four of our meetings, instead of a speaker we will do a craft and have a conversation meeting – which allows for more time to get to know one another on a deeper level.

During our meeting, our children enjoy themselves in the MOPPETS program. The MOPPETS program has loving staff whom enjoy watching our children. While they play with their friends, they also learn a little about the Lord.  The program was a HUGE success this past year, and we look forward to another great year for our children.

We sincerely hope that you will join us.

There is a $25 annual registration fee and a fee of $5 per meeting to assist with program expenses.   All mothers are invited to join us. Financial assistance is available.
